Using a faulty liquid dispenser has a lot of
drawbacks. They include, but are not limited to, the following.
·
imprecise quantity of the liquids dispensed
·
compromised quality of liquids dispensed
·
frequent clogging of your dispenser’s various
components
So, make sure your system is not falling into
disrepair. Here are four signs that you need to replace
your liquid dispensing unit or at least have an expert come over and check
it out.
1.
It’s consistently releasing
inconsistent liquids.
Pay attention to the consistency of the liquids
dispensed by your unit. If something is off, get in touch with your provider.
Have an expert examine your dispenser. If your unit dispenses inconsistent
fluids—be it in terms of quantity or quality—despite repairs, then it’s a red
flag that something is seriously wrong with your dispensing unit.
2. Its motor is always running hot.
A warm motor
is not uncommon when using your dispenser. An excessively hot motor, however,
is not something that you should take lightly. It can be a sign that something
is seriously wrong with your liquid dispensing unit. Stop using your unit
immediately and call your provider immediately.
3. You’ve already had it repaired multiple times.
How often do you need to get your system de-clogged? How
many times have you had your unit’s dispense
valves replaced? How about its other components? Have you ever had
the need to have them repaired or replaced before? How many times?
These are the questions you need to ask five years
down the line (or so) of acquiring your liquid dispenser. These are also the
questions you need to ask if you’ve experienced an alarming amount of issues in
a short period of time. Consider your unit’s history carefully. Then, have an
expert look over your unit. If the professional predicts issues in the future
and recommends upgrades or repairs, it may be more worthwhile to buy a new one.
4. It has reached the end of its estimated lifespan.
Like any other
piece of machinery, dispensing units don’t last forever. High
quality liquid dispensers can last 10 to 20 years, depending on their
function, model, and frequency of use. Your provider should be able to inform
you of your system’s estimated lifespan.
When your unit
is a year or two away from its “expiration,” have an expert examine its functionality.
Find out if it is still running in top condition. If it is, continue using it
but keep an eye on its performance. If it isn’t, then accomplish the necessary
repairs or upgrades. It may also be a good idea to start saving for its
replacement.
Once it has reached its “expiration period,” it would
be best to go shopping for a new one. Don’t wait for your unit to break down.
Keep an eye out for these red flags. And, if you see
them, don’t disregard them. Get in touch with your liquid dispensing system’s provider
immediately. Have a professional examine your unit and consider his/her
findings seriously.
