4 PPE Gears That the Management Should Provide

Personal protective equipment, or PPE are often undermined, but they are just one of the most important things in the industry. Fostering safety among your personnel, or employees, providing and wearing PPE gears must at all times be implemented in all industries.

With whatever industry we are in, safety must always be put first, not just for consumers, but also for the people who work for you. It is the company who should be providing these PPE safety gears, and should be the one who are strict in implementing it. Whether we realize it or not, our employees, workers, and personnel are the primary factors that have brought us to where we are today. If it not for them, the industry will never run.

To add to this, no person in his or her right mind would agree to an arrangement that would endanger his or her life, at least not in first world countries like Singapore.

There are many PPE safety gears that must be worn at all times, especially in harsh, or in extreme conditions. Here are some examples of PPE gears that we must always remember:

1.       Head and Face Protection
More commonly used in construction sites, and other spaces, these PPE safety gears are needed to protect the head, and face from fallen debris, or other things. This involves a safety helmet, a chinstrap, and a face shield. The head may be said to be one of the most vital parts of the body, hence being one that is most likely to be fatal when hurt.

2.       Eye Protection
Management of industries should also put great importance to making their personnel wear eye protection as a PPE safety gear. People who are exposed to lasers, sparks, flames, and other particles that can be harmful for the eyes and eyesight must wear these.

3.       Hearing Protection
Hearing is one of the most undermined senses. It may be because of our security that it is just hidden inside the ears. Little did we know that a dysfunctional sense of hearing will not only affect our hearing, but also our balance, and speech. This is why there are PPE gears that protect our sense of hearing. There are reliable earmuffs, and earplugs that can protect us through extreme conditions that may damage our hearing.

4.       Fall Protection
There really are industries where the manufacture requires us to work at different heights. While this is terrifying in itself, it is also very dangerous. Obviously, falling off from a certain height will cause you minor to serious injuries like head, or spine injuries resulting to brain damage or comatose, or even to death. This is why fall protection gears are important PPE in providing security, and safety.

Every management must be strict in making their workers, or employees wear PPE safety gears and equipment at all times. Aside from the publicity, lost net worth, and other things that can make accident report suffer the company with, life is also a sacred thing that can never be replaced with anymore.
